Mission statement

   S.O.H, Inc is the premier organization that offers a comprehensive list of services to survivors of victims of homicide, in washington D.C. These secondary victims are under served. The mission of  Survivors of Homicide inc is to be a primary resoures and sources of strength for other survivors of homicide. We are committed to educate our communities and advocate for fair treatment of crimes, to ensure the criminal justice system will treat victims and their families with courtesy, respect, and above all dignity, compassion, and Justice. We believe that violence prevention is key to the elimination of surffering caused by homicides. Therefore our focus, in the communities and schools, is violence prevention.

Who is a Survivor

Survivors of homicide are those individuals who had special ties of kinship with the person murdered and who therefore victimized not onlyb by the loss of someone close but also by the horrific circumstance of that untimely death. Survivors also include family members close friends, neighbors, schoolmates and members of the community at large.
